Another exclusive CHIMERA innovation, Lanterns serve well as a central soft light for round-table interviews and for filling interior shooting spaces with soft, ambient light. Lanterns can be used with strobes or continuous light sources and can be set up on any Speed Ring from the Strobe or Video PRO Bank category.

For maximum effectiveness use with a "bare bulb" type lighting instrument. The unique Pancake Lanterns, with innovative, removable, zipper-panel skirt (optional), offers great possibilities for fine-tuning light fall-off.

Inspired by a working cinematographer Rich Underwood, Cinematographer/Cameraman, and refined by Chimera's engineers, the new CHIMERA Birdcage Lantern light has emerged as a unique addition to the CHIMERA family of Lightbanks. This new innovative design offers flexible use -- hang it, stand it up, lay it down, put it on a stand with the new CHIMERA #3860 Stand Adapter.

The light can be shaped with the adjustable black skirt, adding a glow where you desire a small to moderate area of soft accent light. The new CHIMERA Birdcage stands approximately 14" and comes complete with a Mogul Base fixture for 500-watt lamps plus a screw-in adapter to allow the use of standard household lamps (Stand Adapter and Lamp not included).
